Missed Chapterhouse Theatre

It's three days till the end of Chapterhouse Theatre's run this year. And I've missed all there shows. There are a couple of dates for each left, but they are all away down in the south of England. Bit too far to travel mid-week. Next year.

Body Slam Alley

Body Slam Alley - Hello there wrestling fans! Are you tired of the same old pre-packaged slickly edited and produced showcases, featuring your favorite sports entertainment superstars?

Welcome to Body Slam Alley 24hr TV!!

Brokensea Audio Productions have released the first episode of Body Slam Alley. Welcome to the back stage world of Professional Wresting.

I voice one of the two Ring-side Commentators, Jimmy S. Marks. Had a lot of fun with this script.

I hadn't notice this when it was released last month.

My sister's new puppy got knocked of the bed and ... oops. Time for a trip to the vets. Poor wee thing.

A former landlady had three dogs, one of whom's name was Gaelic for 'poor wee thing'. Can't for the life of me remember what the word was though.

UPDATE: I remembered the landlady's dog's name: Oonagh. Hasn't got quite the meaning I was told, but I imagine she was thinking of 'lamb' as it is sometimes used that way.

Podcast Peer Awards Nominees 2007

Nominations are in for the Podcast Peer Awards. The section that I'm most interested in has four entries that I'm not surprised to see there and one I haven't heard of before. I'm a little surprised that there isn't a nod to Sigler, but who would have to be dropped to make way for him?

The section I'm refering to is of course 'Serialized Fiction':

Enabling ssh on MyBook World Edition

I've had my Western Digital MyBook World Edition for a couple of months now. Basically it is a mini-computer with a small footprint linux distro. The disk is shared on the network using samba and mionet. Not exactly the best options for accessing from Linux. It works, well the samba does. But it isn't ideal. In fact, if I try to do more than one simultaneous file transfer with samba protocol, the whole thing locks up till I can remount the smbfs.

Oddly enough, the MyBook comes with a fully functional ssh server. WD just ship it disabled. Enabling ssh allows shell access which opens lots of possibilities.

Normality Summer Season Approaches

The end of two hectic weeks has finally arrived. And I, in no way, was the busiest. Major props to Jason for doing such big roles in We Will Rock You one week, then The Full Monty the next.

I'll remember the after-show party for The Full Monty for a long time. Thanks girls. I'll be in my bunk.

Back to work tomorrow, for a rest.

The New Wall

Listen to this: 7 Things I Will Never Tell You

Words cannot describe this cathartic work of art. It must be heard for itself.

Casting for Estalvin's Legacy

Wrote and posted the first Casting Call for Estalvin's Legacy yesterday to the Voice Actor's United mailing list. Now I have another two to put together for the weekend to give everyone time to record their auditions.

Blink

Sally Sparrow

I have to admit that I've had a lukewarm opinion towards the new series of Dr. Who. But after watching this weeks episode, Blink, I am impressed. It is this seasons 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern'-style episode. But unlike the disappointments of season 2's Love & Monsters or Torchwood's Random Shoes, Blink delivers a wonderfully creepy first and second act. The third act brings back some of the traditional zaniness, but still has a poignant and satisfactory conclusion. Read more »

LInks out of kilter

I've managed to disable a lot of my blog links. Any blog post after June 2004 has lost it's /yyyy/mm/dd/title link and has reverted to the underlying /node/id. The pathauto module which is supposed to be responsible for creating these URL aliases doesn't want to play ball.

Links actually on the site all work. This only effects any bookmarks or Google search results.
