Navel Gazing Meetings
I have to give up an afternoon’s perfectly good working time, where in I could actually get some good solid work done. The peace and quite that is available to juts get my head down, without the constant interuptions for help and advice from other members of staff. Most of whom take Friday afternoons of. Which usually means I can get some work done.
Not this week. My manager is pulling the whole department into a planning meeting. The third in a series. It’ll take almost all of the afternoon and all we will have decided is how to grade ourselves based on a recent survey that was sent out staff in other departments. The navel gazing as we pour over a similar survey we all had to fill out on how we felt we were doing our job, together with the interrogation of anyone who felt we were anything less than ‘great’ and any area.
Leave me alone and let me do something Productive for Entropy’s sake!
